Brothers and Directors Chris Calvert and Adam Calvert recently took over the reins from their father Neil, who continues his involvement in the business on a consultancy basis. Family really is at the heart of our business. Indeed, our Preston office, Shorrock House, is named after Neil’s grandfather!

Rushtons now has over 35 staff across Preston and Blackpool. We operate from two bespoke modern offices, benefitting from the latest technology and comfortable large meeting rooms. Being at either end of the M55, both offices are easily accessible and have free parking.
At Rushtons we have an extensive history dating back to 1880. We are immensely proud of this history and believe the knowledge and experience that has been retained over the years in the firm is invaluable to our clients.
Neil Calvert qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Pomfret Rushton, based in Ribblesdale Place, Preston.
Neil Calvert became an equity Partner in Pomfret Rushton.
Rushtons Chartered Accountants & Business Advisers was formed by Neil Calvert and Brian Willacy, based in Winckley Square, Preston.
Rushtons became the Preston representative for the UK200 group, the UK’s leading quality assured membership association of independent accountants and lawyers.
Winckley payroll services was set up to provide a specialised, high quality payroll service to clients.
Neil Calvert joined the Academy of Experts, whilst Michael Muschamp became a founding member of the Expert Witness Institute. Today, Neil and Michael remain as consultants to the firm.
Rushtons Financial Management was formed to provide independent financial planning advice.
Angela Tranter made Tax Director, now leading one of the most experienced and specialised tax teams in Preston and Blackpool.
Neil Calvert made Managing Director of Rushtons Chartered Accountants & Business Advisers.
Preston office moved to Shorrock House in Fulwood, Preston, a modern purpose built office.
Chris Calvert qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
Merger with Titus Thorp & Ainsworth, resulting in Rushtons now having offices in Preston and Blackpool. Michael Muschamp and Brian Taylor from TTA are made Directors at Rushtons, leading the Blackpool team.
As part of the TTA merger Rushtons acquired a specialised Trust Tax team led by Michael Muschamp.
Chris Calvert made Director, following 6 years of providing accountancy and business advice to the SME market.
Blackpool office moved to Avroe House, a modern, new office situated on the Blackpool Enterprise Zone (Airport).
The forensic accounting team Rushtons Forensics, of Neil Calvert, Michael Muschamp and Adam Calvert became the Lancashire representative of NIFA (Network of Independent Forensic Accountants).
Vicky Calvert joined Rushtons as our Head of Operations, following 12 years experience at a Big Four accounting firm.
Neil Calvert retired from day-to-day operations with sons and Directors Adam Calvert and Chris Calvert now leading the firm.
Alex Calvert joined Rushtons as our Head of Marketing, to help provide our clients with the latest legislation as it is announced.
