Tax Accountant (Preston office)

We are always looking for the right people to join our team who we think will fit in with our way of working at Rushtons, in particular with an emphasis on providing a quality service to our clients.

There is an exciting opportunity for someone to join our tax and trusts team at our Preston office.

For this particular role, the following qualifications and/or experience would be desirable but are not all essential:

  • ATT/CTA or ACCA/ACA qualified.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience of working in an accountancy practice. Ideally suited to a newly qualified or qualified by experience looking for career development or specialising in tax.
  • Excellent software skills
  • Preparation of Self-Assessment tax returns
  • Offering specialist tax advice and planning to clients
  • Trust accounts and tax returns.
  • Corporation tax experience including capital allowance reviews and R&D tax credit claims.
  • Researching ad-hoc tax related queries to assist the wider team.

We are looking for an individual with the flexibility to carry out various advisory services. The role will be varied, working on a wide range of clients from sole traders to large group companies, in line with our firm’s portfolio.
